Royal Sno is seeking experienced, mission-driven applicants for the position of Event Operations Manager. This is a new role, designed for a professional looking for a meaningful opportunity in a growing organization that makes a difference in the lives of youth and our community.
A part of the Natural Born Leaders Academy curriculum, Royal Sno is a social enterprise that specializes in providing hands-on entrepreneurship education to cultivate a community of future business owners by employing them to operate a Royal Sno Bus.
Primary Responsibilities :
Staff Training and Supervision
Ensure staffing levels match season demand
Create student work schedules, adequately staffing all confirmed events
Train students on bus operations and quality customer service
Track/verify hours worked by students
Business Development and Fiscal Oversight
Cultivate future opportunities through partnership creation, proactively researching community events, and promoting the availability of private events
Ensure end-of-event cash reports are completed correctly
Adhere to cash safety procedures
On-Site Event Management
Drive bus to and from events
Oversee event setup, duration, and breakdown
Engage in entrepreneurial/career exploration discussions with students during downtime
Maintain safety and food quality standards
Ensure a sanitary work environment; clean and disinfect all workstations, machines, and other surface areas
Model high standard of customer service during high-volume, fast-paced operations
Resolve any escalated customer complaints
Perform post-event evaluation
Inventory Management
Monitor supply levels to maintain appropriate inventory quantities
Place supply orders with approved vendors while adhering to approved budget constraints
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct supervision of students/event staff
Minimum Qualifications
Passion for serving young people, social justice, community, entrepreneurship, and service leadership
Patience and experience working with youth ages 14-19 from varying backgrounds
Effective communication skills
Honesty, integrity, and transparency
Reliable transportation
Ability to pass a criminal background check
High School Diploma
Google Suite proficiency (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides, etc.)
Financial literacy and budget management
Preferred Qualifications
Prior supervisory experience
Previous food service experience
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Valid Driver's License
CPR and First Aid
Physical/Environmental Demands
Ability to lift and carry 50-60lbs multiple times throughout the shift
Ability to perform job function in varying weather conditions and temperatures
Commitment
The Event Operations Manager role is currently seasonal, with a commitment to the entire season (April-October) requested. However, there is potential to grow into a permanent, year-round role with expanded responsibilities. High concentration of events will fall on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Our season is May-October)
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $15-$20 per hour. (Contract-1099)
